Creating and sending targeted emails in SFMC involves designing an email, segmenting the audience, and sending it via Email Studio, Journey Builder, or Automation Studio.
Step 1: Create an Email in Content Builder
- Go to Email Studio → Click on Content Builder.
- Click Create → Select Email Message.
- Choose from:

Step 3: Send the Targeted Email
Option 1: User-Initiated Send (One-Time Campaigns)
- Go to Email Studio → Click Email Sends.
- Select the email you created.
- Choose your Sender Profile.
- Select your Audience List or Data Extension.
- (Optional) A/B Test Subject Lines, Content, or Send Times.
- Click Send Now or Schedule for later.

Option 2: Journey Builder (Automated, Multi-Step Campaigns)
- Go to Journey Builder → Click Create Journey.
- Select an Entry Source (e.g., API, Data Extension, File Drop).
- Drag and drop an Email Activity into the journey.
- Configure the email, audience rules, and exit conditions.
- Activate the journey to start sending emails.
Option 3: Automation Studio (Recurring Email Sends)
- Go to Automation Studio → Create New Automation.
- Select Schedule Email Send or Triggered Email Send.
